Love Duck is now a
Mary Kay consultant, right? (That's a rhetorical question.) So, here's the thing. She's practicing "facial parties" on people in the ward. I find this rather entertaining. Especially since 5/6 of the individuals thus far have been
male! Their outcries of annoyance and disgust amuse me.
Mum took me to lunch today. Actually, I drove up to the airport to pick her up. We went to P.F. Chang's just off 200 and North (?) Temple Downtown SLC and met my grandparents there. As a special bonus, my surprise (see previous post, I'm too lazy to link it right now) as well as a NEW PILLOW (that feels like heaven- my dad has one), a game, a book, and a journal (because I always seem to be in need of one) came with her. Oh, and Monk season 3 because I never got to finish watching it before I came back here to Cougar Town. This makes me well pleased.
Dad, on the other hand, is now on his way to go fishing in
Alaska with his boss (but it's strictly business, of course). He says he'll buy me a present, which he darn well should since, as VP of his company, he didn't take the liberty of taking
me with him. He'll be gone for Father's day, so I'm remaining in the north-ish country until next week, when I'll go home for a few days to recover from whatever homesickness it is that ails me these days and we'll proceed to celebrate Dad.
I have joined Card Club at the Bookstore. This is a good thing, but it's only held once a month.
I have an obsession with Gelly Roll pens by Sakura. I own nearly all of them. In fact, for a while I thought I did own all the "cool" ones (you know, metallic, sparkly, different sparkly, silvery, different silvery, 3-D...), but then I discovered something on the website they have: I'm missing a set of 3-D pens! That's 10 whole pens that I don't have! I need these pens. Practically. So for the next day or two I'm going to scout them out. Somewhere in Happy Valley
must sell them and I'm determined to find Somewhere. The Bookstore does not. Next on my list is Jo-Ann's or Michael's, or Robert's.
My gas tank is full (mostly). The adventure continues!
