I hiked the Y last night with my ward for FHE, and I actually made it to the top! When I went two years ago, I gave up because it was so stinkin hot and I wasn't yet used to walking everywhere. Admittedly, my legs are a little sore today, but not all that bad. And I only got one blister. I am still somewhat concerned about my Geol 101 class and the physical exertion (my lungs seem to have not yet recovered all the way from January), but I think I'll be fine so long as I've got plenty of H2O.
I've recently discovered via
the yellow pages that Toshiko's has moved from Main St. In SLC next to See's Candies to somewhere in West Valley. I am now half-heartedly planning my next mini-adventure to said city and hoping that I don't get lost in the wrong part of town and end up getting shot in some gang conflict.
Love Duck has gone south with her parents to enjoy the beautiful Zions National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. I, for one, have no desire to be in Washington County at this time because, according to my parents, Santa Horhe is surrounded by fires. This is not unusual for summer time. Last year we had dozens of very serious fires and Gunlock was blocked off for the second time that year. Not to mention that I-15 had to be closed down around Toquerville because the fire was ON the free way. (Just within the past four months or so did they replace the burnt-to-a-crisp signs.) Not to mention that it has reached 108 degrees Fahrenheit for multiple days in the past week. This is why I think I shall never again live in the southern parts of Utah.
Pirates comes out in 11 days. I am excited. However, it seems as if all tickets have already been sold for day one. I shall have to wait. So no one spoil it for me if you get to see it first! (I may actually go against what I stated in the previous paragraph and go south to see it with my sister and, perhaps, my dad. This would provide me with a free ticket, not to mention that theaters down there average two dollars cheaper than the ones up here.) I heart the first movie and am desperately hoping the second is just as good if not better. I also find myself with the great desire to go back to Disneyland so that I can ride the ride, which now stars Captian Jack Sparrow as well as Barbossa and Davy Jones. Good news, though: nothing has been removed from the ride, just added! I was seriously concerned when I first heard of the renovation.
It appears as if a tornado struck my bedroom floor, so I now proceed to do some major cleaning. My family is coming up in three days and I'd like to have a clean room to present to my parents lest they think me a slob.
