I swear, my life really is not that exciting right now. You are not missing much when I do not blog!
On that note, we just had our "Fall Break" (what used to be called the Dear Hunt ... er Deer Hunt here in the Ootah), so I took the opportunity to skip town. Had I been able to afford it, I probably would have skipped all the way to California, because we all know that is my favorite place to be. However, not enough monies. Plus, I had this free ticket to go see
The Scarlet Pimpernel at the Hale, and who is going to pass that up? Not me! (It was amazingly well done. I would go again. Seriously!) On my little trip, I was actually kept pretty well busy. Forgive me if you didn't know I was in your neighborhood; my time filled up much too quickly for me to tell everyone I was coming.
Friday, shortly after I arrived in the PTown, I met with my ILP Taiwan Rep. I AM SO EXCITED! I know, I say this basically every time I mention Taiwan to anyone, but TR made me even MORE excited to go. I turned in all of my Documents Packet except for the movie/video thingy. Still have to get on that. I'm really kind of nervous to make a video of me "teaching" and telling a story. Plus, whose child am I going to borrow for this thing? I have too many options! Or maybe I'll teach a pretend child. I haven't fully decided yet; I'm not sure which will be more humiliating: me talking to a camera with no one else in the room, or me talking to a child on a camera. I DO NOT LIKE CAMERAS! (This brings to mind that one home video we have of me saying "Dad, I wanna go bed. I wanna go bed, Dad" because I hated the camera so much, even as a small child!) So, yeah. Good times. Both schools are located in the middle-ish of the west side of the island, with Taipei being 3 hours-ish north? Correct me if I'm wrong and you know.
I also saw my Kalia, whom I haven't seen since the day she moved out of our apartment nearly 6 years ago. So long! (Hi, Kalia! I love you!) She has cute babies, and now I want to buy them all kinds of presents. Because that's what you do for cute people, right? Buy them presents?
Meanwhile, midterms went a lot better than expected, especially considering I didn't even study for 5 minutes for two of my exams. Yep, aced both of those. Still not sure what my score was on the Geology midterm, but I did study for that. And then just gave up because science=no hope.
Anyway, that's about all I've got this week.
Oh, except, if you have any ideas on what I should teach on in Relief Society in 3 weeks, let me know. I'm used to having my lesson more or less
done by this point, and, as of today, I haven't a clue of what my topic will be. So, yes. Suggestions welcome.
