This is part one of an indefinite series. Theoretically I'll be posting just small thoughts/events/adventures that happen to me here in Taiwan (small being not long enough for their own post) in the Miscellaneous Files.
First. It has been three weeks and one day since we landed in this country. Do I still have my bruise? Why yes, I do! BUT it is almost faded! The lump is not any smaller yet, though... I wonder how long until that goes away.
Also note that red dot. See it? Yeah. Step outside for not even 30 seconds without bug repellent and this is what happens. I have two nearly identical bites on my arm. I am surprised that I don't have a lot more, but I guess I have been remembering to put on my bug repellent about 90% of the time. It is those impromptu trips outside that get me. (Actually, today's was not so impromptu; it was pretty well-planned, I just forgot about it.)
Second: Kindergarten students are gross.
Exhibit A: Yesterday Jay, the new boy, was caught picking his nose and
eating his boogers during Opening. SO GROSS!
Exhibit B: DON'T ask me how I figured this out (it was by accident and not something I wanted to know, ever), but one of our little boys does not wear underwear. I MAY BE TRAUMATIZED FOR LIFE!! Especially since he sat on my foot. Umm...
