Someone in the Cluff keeps popping
popcorn right around 1:00 pm while I'm at work. While I'm starving at work. When I'm wishing I had a lunch break at work. When I really, really just want some of that dang popcorn! Today was the third day in a row this week (of course, I only work three days a week, so that's not saying much). They did it to me last week, too, only in the morning time when I was starving because I hadn't had time for breakfast. I need to find this mysterious microwave so that I might bring my own popcorn and eat it in front of all my students! Muahahahahaha! (Yeah, I'm tired. Get over it.)
I went to
Barnes and Noble tonight to buy a short story anthology. The guy who worked the Customer Service Desk didn't really know what he was doing. I asked him if they had
"40 Short Stories; a Portable Anthology" in stock and he looked up POETRY anthologies on the computer. I know, I was watching. And then when I asked him to show me where they kept their SHORT STORY anthologies, he took be back to the poetry section, clear at the opposite end of the store. I thought about saying something, but I didn't want to make him feel stupid, so I just let him lead me in circles until he found what I was looking for. And then, while I was perusing the shelves, I noticed that B&N really need to do some serious re-organizing and get the erotic books out of the children's anthology section. Yeah. 'Nuff said.
I've got a dear friend from Santa Horhe's neighbor of near-fields coming up this weekend. She's going to get here tomorrow night and we're going to hang out Saturday while her "not-friend" takes a test to gain some language credits. We're going to go check out the
bloated corpses, feed some ducks, and go shopping at the mall, stopping at her
favorite resteraunt for lunch. I am so excited! Even if she did try to kill me last weekend, I can wait to see her again!
My roommate put up her Christmas tree and hung stockings the other night while listening to
The Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack.
It's supposedly going to SNOW on Saturday.
*Edit: sorry if you read this and were confused before I got to it this morning (November 10 at 11:30). Blogger started wigging out last night as I was typing it.
