So this guy comes into work today. Beard. Odd clothes. No, seriously. ODD clothes. Anyway, Door Girl told him he couldn't come in or something because he wasn't obeying the honor code's dress standards or something. I was up at the info desk, so I dont' really know. But I guess Officer Cold escorted him out. A short while later, he comes back and sits down at a kiosk. Door Girl comes up to me all freaked out and I point her in the direction of Officer Cold again. Dear Officer watches Odd Dood for a while, then goes up to him and starts writing down some information or something before escorting him out again, this time calling for back-up. Back-up officers came and patrolled the floor for the rest of the hour or so. Odd Dood comes back. Odd dood talks to me. Officer Cold goes after him. Then he wouldn't spill the beans when he came back. And I thought we were friends. Go figure.
Seriously, though, someday I may find out what it was all about. Or didn't I tell you I'm thinking about Law Enforcement now?

I'm not gunna lie to you. It hurt, watching her standing there, laughing like she didn't have a care in the world and knowing that she still hasn't forgiven me and that I can never stand there and laugh with her.
I'm glad she's happy. Really, I am. It's been a long time coming for her. I just wish I could be happy like that, too, without having to depend on medication.

What Now is that in approximately two hours I will be in my car on the way to the airport. In approximately four hours I will be in the air on the way to Orange County (California). And then I will be where it is sunny and warm and I won't have a care in the world (for a few days, anyway). And tomorrow I will be at the Happiest Place on Earth enjoying myself most immensely.
My K, I will buy you a present. I promise.
I'll buy a few other people presents, too, but they don't read my blog (I don't think...)
Hopefully by the time I get back to town I will have forgiven University Parking for trying to ruin my life (they haven't succeeded, yet). Hopefully when I get back to town cleaning checks will be long over and Managers will have taken pity on me and passed me even though I won't be here to defend myself. Hopefully when I get back to town I'll be able to handle being in SF's presence for a short time.
And most Hopefully: hopefully I will have figured a few things out and I'll know how to deal with what's going on in this life that I'm about to take a vacation from.

No, actually, I wish I had my own bathroom again. Then it wouldn't matter that Fayce beat me to the shower.
So much for getting to bed early. I hope she doesn't take all the hot water. Again. I'm getting tired of cold showers. Especially when I don't want to wake up, but rather go to sleep.

In recent days I have come to understand why so many single females (especially those attending the Y) feel ancient and old. It comes from looking around and seeing so many girls YOUNGER than you are getting married/dating seriously/seriously have someone interested in them (at least a little) and you are totally single (which isn't so bad, really, despite what some may think) and not even that old (I mean, let's be honest here. There is NO WAY any company is going to let me rent a car from them. At least not for a while.)
I've also recently come to the conclusion that the guys in my high school really weren't that bad. Too bad I was so intent on getting that 4.0 and too bad I am so intimidating. Still, there is hope. Especially now that so many of them are coming home.
Oh yeah. That's another thing that makes me feel old: when I look at all the missionaries and it dawns on me, "Dood, [Katria]. Every single one of these elders is younger than you. Freaky."

I was walking home about an hour ago. I climbed the stairs up to my apartment and turned around. There was a Scary Man standing behind me, staring at me. I slammed the door in his face and locked it at super-human speeds.
My roommate was walking home last week. Scary Man started to follow her. She was rescued by some random neighbor in our parking lot.

I have just stumbled upon the identity of one or more writers of the
great and magnificent board. Completely unexpectedly, too! Blame it on (or thank, in my case) Duchess. It's her fault for being in my... umm... "not ward."

Today in D&C I received a great hurt in my heart. A student wrote "Suprise" on the board for all to see. Ouch.

Please excuse me in advance for my limited blogging this week and possibly next week. I'm re-discovering how adjusting to a new medication is seriously the pits and also dealing with the fact that I'll be having a funeral to go to within the next 10 days. I also expect work to be a waking nightmare tomorrow, but I'll get over it.
P.S. Please pretend that I am not here and/or that I am sleeping. That's what my roommates are meant to think, even though I am just ignoring them. Thank goodness for private rooms!

I'm saved! Starting Tuesday I will have four new TAs to train and bring up in my likeness. Basically I've decided to be a slave driver these first few weeks until they get into gear. Just kidding. Seriously, though, I cannot handle another week like this one! I am sooo uber stinkin' wiped out that I'm just about to fall over. But at least the week is over (basically) and I only have one class tomorrow.
Now I just need the kitchen dilemma solved. Stupid kitchen. Pig roommates (I did not just say that). Nice girls, but man alive! Even my sister isn't this messy!

OK. So, there's this guy in my Doctrine and Covenants class whom I shall from hence forward call SharkBoy (not to be confused with
Shark Bate). And that's really all I have to say about that for the time being, except that he talked to me today in class and it was nice to be noticed for once.
Speaking of being noticed, I forced conversation out of J-Dawg for about 5-10 minutes today. It wasn't exactly pleasant, but it was at the very least polite (more of me than him).

"Can I help you find something?"
"Yeah, I'm looking for where I go to do One Stop."
"...."
There's this student here with two sets of twins that I am pretty sure belong to her. I have no envy in my heart.

It's not even 10:00pm and I'm already on my way to bed. Go me!
On a second note, work went by really fast today. And J-Dawg saw me and totally turned and ran and I'm OK with that.

It's been a year now since my friend was brutally
murdered and they're just now getting around to having a
trial. Yeah, I don't really understand how time works into things here, but I'd have figured it would have played a little more important role. Anyway, and least it's happening. The local paper's article was much more graphic, but you don't need to read it. The worst part is that she was trying to do what was right, trying to get back her life...

So I was wandering what some people might call our mall here in Santa Horhe today when suddenly I saw this guy from my creative writing class. In Sears. He's not even
from Santa Horhe. He's from
Sandy. (Yeah, I'm a stalker; I used the Stalker-net.) It almost freaked me out.

There are some days (and some nights) when I just REALLY miss those people that I used to be friends with. One in particular (give you two guesses).
I get to go to the good doctor in five days.
End.

I have no snow. None. It was 50 degrees today (about).
I have no finals. None. I finished them all up Saturday morning past.
I got to go to an awesome
MoTab Christmas Concert with guest performer
Sissel.
I got to check out the
Lights on Temple Square. Again.
I got to go to
Music and the Spoken Word with guest performer
Sissel and the FIRST PRESIDENCY.
I got to hear President Hinckley make a funny.
I got to sleep in until noon today and plan to do the same tomorrow.
I also plan to sleep through most of Christmas break as soon as I make it to the doctor because I'm pretty sure she'll put me on a new medication that I'll have to adjust to. I mean, really. Let's face it. Luvox just isn't cutting it anymore and I'll end up leaving school forever if something doesn't change.
End.
