Something you may or may not know about me: I'm a list maker. I love lists. They make me happy, they make me feel organized, and I think they're fun to make. Whenever there is a list to be made at work, I am the first to volunteer. People think I'm strange for it, but there you go. That's me. I love me my lists.
So, naturally, when Alishka blogged about the Day Zero project, I thought: "Awesome! A really long list! This sounds fun!" It took me a while to come up with 101 goals, but I did it (with some help and suggestions from a variety of different sources (thanks, Sources)), and now, I blog it. Just to be clear, the majority of these ideas I did not come up with, but rather found them on various other websites/blogs. I wish I would have remembered to grab a link to the sources, but I didn't. Sorry. Umm.. (By the way, hovering your cursor over the picture makes the words more... legible. Sorry about the weird format.)
Anyway. I've been at a loss for things to blog about for... quite some time now. You may have noticed by the apparent lack of blog updates. They just don't happen all that often, do they! So, in my quest to get writing again (I'm really wanting to actually WRITE write, not just blog), I've decided to keep handy a list of topics that I might blog about. Get the brain going, you know? Feel free to use this list at your leisure. I'd love to read your responses to any/all of the items on it! It's fun to see how different people think.
In the meantime, be on the lookout for me hopefully actually using this list and updating my blog periodically. Preferably more than just once or twice a month, as has seemed to be my average as of late.
(Oh, but P.S. I probably won't blog any more this week. We're driving up to the North Country tomorrow after I get off of work because my cousin is getting married Saturday morning. And then, basically right after the wedding, we are driving back home so that I may close at work. But let's not talk about work right now, because it makes me want to cry. When the mess is sorted/more manageable, then perhaps I will blog the sob story/nightmare that has been controlling a great portion of my life since Tuesday.)
So, here it is. A List of Things to Blog About when you're at a loss for Things to Blog About.

First, I have to admit that the whole marking system of this thing feels a little backwards to me. I mean, the way you're supposed to do it with "x" being "yes, I have done this" and "o" being "no, I have not done this." I understand the logistics of it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Nevertheless
"X" marks the things I have done during my lifetime:
(X) Been to Canada
(O) Been to Mexico

(X) Been to Hawaii
(X) Gone on a blind date
(X) Skipped school
(O) Watched someone die

To do today:
- Wash my car (hooray! I am so excited for this, I can't even tell you. Like, seriously.)
- Get some Spaghetti O's and Mac & Cheese to live off of for the next 5 days
- And maybe a few other groceries, too
- Get my mail from SF and laugh inside because I don't have to live there anymore
- Go to a bookstore and find something to read (You know, that's the thing about being stuck in an airport for three days- you go through a lot of books, which means that by the time you get to your final destination you're out of things to read. Again.)

After spending two very long days in one airport or another, I'm home (as in Santa Horhe). In approximately 12 hours I have a doctor appointment and after that I'll be going... yep. Back to the airport to fly northward. I am so ready do be done with flying. You have no idea. But, at least I can say I've been to Georgia and Texas now, eh?
The best things about being home:
- My bed!
- My shower
- My shampoo
- My conditioner
- My bed
- No humidity*
- Real food**
- My toothpaste***
- Did I mention my bed?
*When I was in Virginia, I could hardly breathe due to the humidity. Seriously, it caused me great pain to take air into my body. It felt like something was crushing my lungs so that they couldn't expand and it was awful.
**I mean, it's not like I was eating plastic food or anything, it's just that I wasn't getting much in the way of home cooked meals, ya know? Granted, the Grandmother is a pretty good cook. We just weren't around the house much to eat meals there.
***As opposed to that nasty travel-size tube I took with me that was that nasty "original paste" flavor. Yuck!
Let there be no doubt that I am my father's daughter:
- Tourettes* is a family trait. My dad, my uncle, and myself all do it.
- I tend to pronounce a lot of things with the same "accent" as my relatives on that side of the family.**
- I look like one of Them (see next two items)
- My hair has the same curl, length, and color as my uncle's***
- I have the same eyes as the Grandmother and two of my dad's brothers.
*I suspect some of my readers may be in the dark about this one. We don't
actually know what it is that we do or why we do it, we just... do. It's like a hiccup, only not. You'd have to hear it.
**Don't ask me exactly
what words/phrases I pronounce with an accent, just accept that I do and that it's a different from the Mother's side of my family.
***OK, so maybe length isn't hereditary. So what?

As much as I hate to admit it, the word "date" is frequenting conversations that I have these days. See, I am not like most girls I know (keyword being "most," there, so don't get all in a huff if you're not one of them and think I'm making a generalization about you, here). Most girls I know
love dating. It's like their favorite activity. They can hardly contain themselves when they hear the word; they get all giddy and giggly and, quite frankly, it disgusts me. I hate,
hate, HATE dating. The word itself causes me to wrinkle up my nose and sneer. Now, don't get me wrong, I'd love to be in a relationship with someone (granted, a rather certain someone), but I'd like to skip the whole "let-me-get-to-know-you-by-taking-you-out-on-frivolous-activities-that-may
-or-may-not-deplete the-man's-savings-account" bit. So here' is my philosophy on dating. I don't recommend it for everyone, by any means, but, you know. And because this is the online world where not everyone knows who I actually am, I've included a few items on here that have to do with that. Here you have it.
- Stalking me is probably not a very good idea.
- If I don't know you, I don't want to go on a date with you.
- If I don't know you and you want to take me out on a date, anyway, you had better find a way to introduce yourself to me without me thinking you are a crazy stalker person.
- I have a one-date rule. Unless you frighten me I will probably say "yes" to a first date.
- Please don't ask me on any follow-up dates unless you have specifically heard me say, "We should do this again sometime."
- A better option to a second date would be to "hang out," as they say, with a small group of mutual friends.
- I am socially reclusive. This means I don't like doing especially crazy things, if you get my drift. But because I have a hard time saying "no" I'll probably do it anyway. And be miserable. But you won't know that. And then I'll avoid talking to you for the rest of forever so as to avoid any more awkward situations.
- Dates should be short and sweet.
- Avoid the "dinner and a movie" standard. Dinner, fine, but nix the movie.
- As a general rule, I do not enjoy sports. Keep that in mind.
Always remember: wherever you go, there you are!

My dearest cousin tagged me over at her blog, so here we go.
The rules: Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those who are tagged need to write on their own blog those 7 facts as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven other people and list their names on your blog.
- I love to count and lists make me happy.
- I physically need things to be straight and well organized or I start to panic. Alphabetized goes without saying.
- When I am really stressed out/annoyed/ticked off, I take my frustrations out on my living atmosphere by cleaning it until I feel like I'm going to fall over.
- I started reading high-school level books in the fifth grade
- My current dream vacation is somewhere in Nevada (not telling you where, but I can guarantee it's not Vegas).
- I despise the newest Window's Media Player update and wish it would die and go back to the old one.
- Sometimes I think I'm a year older than I really am.
Tag, you're it! (Most specifically I want to hear from My K, Noelle, Matt, th., Tolkers, Master Fob, Edgy, and Krishna.)
Always remember: wherever you go, there you are!

I accepted
Master Fob's challenge just now and figure I better get on with it before I forget. We all know how tragic that would be. Plus, since I just composed a list of 100+ items (minus six lies) of "interesting" (I say "interesting" because you may or may not agree) facts about myself, this is more of a challenge than it would normally be. Here goes.
- I am currently comprising a list of phobias and fears (in order) much like Monk's. Because I can.
- I love to count. I count my Eeyores, Manatees, Precious Moments stuff, movies, books, lamps, pillows, blankets, plants, and innumerable (pun not intended, but it is funny) other things on a daily basis.
- I do not have pierced ears and never will have pierced ears for as long as my body is in any form of existence.
- As a small child waiting for the school bus (this would have been about... First or Second grade) I had a bee climb up my nose.
- I remember the exact shirt I was wearing the first time I went on Splash Mountain. It was white with little pastel stars on it.
- One of my first memories was when I was about 1 or 2 years old. My family and all of my cousins had gone to my great-grandma's house. I can remember sitting on the rag rugs.
I hereby extend the challenge to any who are brave enough to take it upon themselves. Please notify me of your acceptance.
Always remember: wherever you go, there you are!

100+ things you may or may not know about me. 5 of them are lies. Can you pick them out?
1. Thinking about shots makes me shudder.
2. If I start thinking about them too long I begin to black out.
3. The first time I got my blood taken, I passed out in the middle of the hallway in the doctor's office.
4. I collect stickers.
5. I especially like the stickers you can get at the doctor's office and I have never used any of them
6. I played with my Barbies until high school
7. I didn't learn to swim until eighth grade
8. I am terrified of deep water, especially ocean water where there might be THINGS down there
9. I love the beach
10. I want to be a Disney Princess when I grow up
11. I am an inch too tall for the afore mentioned job
12. I don't read books. I devour them.

That's right. These are (currently) all of the movies
I own (I think; I've been really bad at keeping up to date), listed alphabetically (or in order of sequence). Because that really is the best system. Except, someday when I have my own personal library, I might do it by genre and then by title. (But that means getting a house that is big enough to have its own library and I don't see that in my future any time soon.) And, hey, if you're in the area and are cool enough to know my phone number (or email, but don't count on getting anything from me THAT way), feel free to call and borrow sometime. All are DVD unless specified otherwise. For specific versions of a film, ask. I am currently working on linking them to the IMDB (or Amazon, depending), so check back often. And, you know, this list is subject to change frequently and without notice. So.
P.S. If you notice problems with any of the links I have here, please notify me so I can fix it. Blogger keeps messing with my coding.
